A familiar building on the corner of Guy and Rene-Levesque, the Maritime Plaza hotel, has been closed for a year now. A condo project is set to be built on the land and part of the structure will be demolished (the short building on the right). It was still intact when I took this photo last summer. Many hotels have closed In Montreal but then again many of them have closed for renovations, such as the Residence Inn hotel on Peel street, and many have also opened as well, including the Alt hotel in Griffintown and the big Marriott Courtyard hotel, just to name a few. That rotunda will apparently be preserved. Yeah!

Un bâtiment familier sur le coin de Guy et René-Lévesque, l'hôtel Maritime Plaza, a été fermé depuis plus d'un an maintenant. Un projet de condos est prêt à être construit sur le terrain et une partie de la structure sera démolie (petit bâtiment sur la droite). Il était toujours intact lorsque j'ai pris cette photo l'été dernier. De nombreux hôtels ont fermés à Montréal mais là encore beaucoup d'entre eux ont fermé pour rénovation, comme l'hôtel Residence Inn sur la rue Peel, et beaucoup d'autre ont été construits y compris l'hôtel Alt dans Griffintown et l'immense hôtel Marriott Courtyard, pour en nommer juste quelques-uns. La rotonde sera apparemment préservé. Yeah!
