It's a given that many new condos are ugly but this one on Bishop street is a conflicting mess. Nothing harmonizes. It actually looked sorta promising when it was unfinished (link) but when they added the finishing touches well all hope was lost. The previous open-space view of downtown Montreal from this spot was stunning. Previous article : link

C'est reconnu que nombreux nouveaux condos sont laids mais celui-ci situé sur Bishop est un vrai gâchis. C'est un conflit. Rien s'harmonise. Il semblait prometteur quand il était inachevé (lien) mais quand ils ont ajouté les touches finales tout espoir s'est évaporé. Yes this is terrible. My mom, back in the 1950's lived at 1247 Bishop in this exact spot. Back then it was a beautiful old apartment building. I wish I had a photo of how it once looked.
