Ugly Montreal

3:44 PM

Montreal is, for the most part, a beautiful city but it also has its share of eyesores. A new feature here at Vanishing Montreal which will profile the eyesores in our city. Now, like I stated a few days ago, I love old buildings with a lot of weathered character to them. The older, the better. But then there are many buildings or houses out there which I find, well, simply ugly, no matter how old or new the building is.  Case in point : the Rogers building in downtown Montreal. What a rusty eyesore! It's surprising that something so ugly and dirty looking can be seen in the middle of the beautiful downtown core. The building desperately needs a facelift.

The Rogers building. It's looks like an elevated junkyard!

L'édifice Rogers. Il ressemble à un dépotoir en hauteur!

I took this picture from inside the Sunlife building where we had the privilege of witnessing this exquisite view on a daily basis when I worked there.
