The dismantling of the road / bridge which went from Verdun to Nuns' Island and was connected to Champlain bridge corridor. I took these photos at the end of August so I'm sure they've progressed since then. The old bridge (below) will be dismantled in order for a newer one to be built in its place. A temporary bridge was built close by, from which I took the photo of the old bridge. This temporary bridge cost $100 million. You can view the progress of the projects here or with a Youtube video.

Le démantèlement de la route / du pont qui allait de Verdun à l'Île des Sœurs et était relié au corridor du pont Champlain. Je pris ces photos à la fin d'août, donc je suis sûr qu'ils ont progressé depuis ce temps. Le vieux pont (ci-dessous) sera démantelé pour que le nouveau puisse être construit à sa place. Un pont temporaire a été construit à proximité, l'endroit où j'ai pris la photo de l'ancien pont. Ce pont temporaire a coûté $100 millions. Wow... I'm no engineer, but this seems kind of ridiculous. Why not just build the final bridge right next to it instead of spending the extra $100M?? Or better yet just tear down one side at a time and redirect traffic to the other side while they build one side of the new bridge in place? Just glad they're not using this strategy for the new Champlain Bridge. :)
