The 3 storey red brick building in the foreground was demolished recently (photo taken in 2014). Residence of the co-op were told to evacuate the place on April 1 after the building was at risk of collapsing. People couldn't take their belongings with them. This happened after construction crew for a new condo project dug a hole near it where the Keegan house used to be. The land all around it had been worked on for years now (photo below) so it's not surprising the old houses were affected by this. In 2016, it's open season on old buildings in Montreal. CBC report.

Le bâtiment de briques rouges de 3 étages dans le premier plan a été démoli récement (Photo prise en 2014). Les résidents du COOP ont évacuer la place le 1er Avril après que le bâtiment posait un risque potentiel  d'effondrement. Les gens ne pouvaient pas prendre leurs affaires avec eux. C'est arrivé après l'équipe de la construction d'un nouveau projet de condo a creusé un trou près de là où la maison Keegan était (droite). La terre tout autour avait été travaillé pendant des années (photo ci-dessous) alors ce n'est pas surprenant que les vieilles maisons ont été touchées par ces dérangements. En 2016, c'est la saison ouverte sur les vieux bâtiments à Montréal. Reportage Radio-Canada.
