Vanishing small house on Sainte-Marie - Saint-Henri

Sainte-Marie May 2013

This empty lot is what's left of a small house that used to be there on Sainte-Marie in Saint-Henri. I don't have a picture of said house but you can see a glimpse of it in the Google Streetview screenshot below.

The photo directly below was taken in March 2013 with bin and portable toilet still present while  they finished demolishing the small house.

Condos on Charlevoix - P.S.C.

Rue Charlevoix 2

This compact condo building on Charlevoix in Pointe-Saint-Charles was built on an empty lot/parking lot.The great thing about this address is that it's right next to the metro (one step away from the Charlevoix station). The bad thing about this address is that it's right next to the metro (traffic...noisy).

The Vincent subs restaurant on Wellington street in Verdun was set to be demolished when these photos were taken in March. It must be gone by now. I'll do a follow up on this site to see what kind of project will replace (wild guess: condos?)!

Horse Palace is no more - Griffintown

Horse Palace no more

The stable and the small house behind the triplex on Ottawa are gone. It was there just a few weeks prior, as the bottom photo shows but since that photo was taken and posted here they demolished the Horse Palace.

New buildings next to Olympic Village - Hochelaga-Maisonneuve

Village Olympique 2

New construction of condos next to the Olympic village in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. The photos were taken last September. I'm certain the folks living in the OV buildings are happy that their view has been blocked.

The construction is on the left hand side of the Olympic village buildings. This Google Maps view shows the empty space (and parking lot) which was replace with the new buildings.

Long-abandoned lobster restaurant on Mackay - Montreal

Lobster Mackay 2

The long-abandoned lobster restaurant on Mackay in downtown Montreal was still there last summer when I took these photos. Quite amazing when you consider all the action which has been going on in Montreal in the past couple of years.

New building on rue Centre - Pointe-Saint-Charles

Construction centre 1

This piece of land on the corner of rue Centre and De La Sucrerie in Pointe-Saint-Charles has been empty for a long time and was once a parking lot as well but construction started in spring 2012 (above) and the building was well on its way to be completed August 2012 (below) when I took these photos. The building will be a retirement home.

A big chunk of the Alstom plant in Pointe-Saint-Charles is now gone. Here's a simple visual presentation.
