Funny how things change. In the 1960's and 70's this building seemed depressing, a few decades later we find this building f'n awesome! What changed? I think it is a "figure" versus "background" thing. As the background changes into something different (some argue better, other way worse) this building stands out in the crowd. Glad it escaped the wrecking ball.
